Its 10am and your car has vanished as well as any loan, lease, or other obligations tied to it. Im talking clean slate. You have 4 hours (10 am - 2 pm) to replace the vehicle and get back to your regularly scheduled life. Let’s see what you would likely buy on the spot and a second option in case just in case your first choice is sold.

This means no time to reach a private seller, no time to have a mechanic check it, no time to go far out of town. No rentals or secondary vehicles allowed. Finally, you must replace your primary vehicle within the time limit and keep the replacement vehicle for at least 6 months. The clock is ticking but make sure to enjoy yo’selves!

A Forte5 SX-T would very much suit my needs and likes in a car. It’s small, good on fuel, relatively peppy, comfy, and most of all, cheap for what you get. Almost 200 HP, a 6 speed manual, and plenty of toys. Would change the colour, but fuck it, we’re on a time constraint.

Considering I had to wait 4 months to get my GTI, and even then the dealer swapped the lower spec S-trim cloth seats into my SE for me because I was that adamant about them, I cannot conceive of another vehicle to replace my car with.

If pushed I suppose I could settle with a FiST, but I wouldn’t be happy about it.

Do I have to replace it with finances on hand (ie, no down payment from the missing trade in)?

I’d probably ask my neighbor to sell my old Civic back to me. Or offer to buy my friend’s one-owner exceptionally maintained ‘01 Accord coupe. She wants to replace it “but it just won’t die.”

What is want to do is get busy restoring “my” Z600.It’s not actually mine but my FIL got it as payment for a carpet job, he’s a flooring installer, but he doesn’t want it.

I rented a GTI while traveling on business for a week last year. I loved everything, despite the rental agency-mandated a/t and VW-mandated artificial engine noise. It was a hell of a fun car to drive for a week. Gotta love corporate upgrades. I'm aiming for the 370z next time...

time to dust off plan...........D? or E, i forget how far back in line it is, theres so many. pretty sure i can get the engine swap done in 3 hrs..... 350 to *cough 305 cough* swap..... its a 4x4 manual shortbed step side. rougher than it has any right to be. i have $500 in the running moving body, and right at $2500 in the *cough 305 cough*, carb to pan to headers, and mufflers

This is good because I can walk to the dealership if taking an Uber would take too long because of traffic, it’s not black, it has cooled seats, and it has the smoking package so the receptacle/bin/thing at the base of the console has a lid making it flush instead of being open.

This is a good backup because it’s overly loud and obnoxious, and that’s okay. It also has 18 way seats and smoking package so it looks good comfort-wise.
